It’s early days in the writing of your story — you pick a topic around which you can generate your own emotions. You are writing it up, and fictionalizing as you go by changing names and even gender to disguise and protect the privacy of real people. You are writing from the heart, and you don’t have to get it all just so at this point, just get it written. You can modify and correct later.
